The Physical Therapy Department at Capital Medical Center is staffed by
experienced professionals who provide specialized care in the treatment of:

  • Orthopedic injures and conditions including fractures, sprains, strains, neck & back injuries, sports injuries, joint replacement, mechanical spine and joint pain, arthritis, surgical repairs & reconstruction such as ACL and rotator cuff repairs
  • Postural dysfunction syndromes
  • Soft tissue and myofascial conditions, including fibromyalgia
  • Amputations
  • General reconditioning, needed secondary to debilitation due to injury, surgery, or disease
  • Vestibular and balance disorders
  • Gait disturbances
  • Open wounds
  • Adult neurological disorders including but not limited to stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s disease
  • Urinary incontinence


Our therapists employ a variety of treatment techniques and procedures including:

  • Manual therapy
  • Soft tissue and joint mobilization
  • Core and extremity strengthening exercises
  • Gait training
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Specific treatment protocols including: Dynamic Lumbar Stabilization, Patello-Femoral Treatment programs, and mechanical diagnosis and treatment (McKenzie Method)
  • Posture and body mechanics training
  • Work conditioning
  • Ultrasound
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Mechanical traction
  • Moist heat and cold therapy
  • Iontophoresis
  • Wound care and debridement
  • Biofeedback muscle re-education

Our trained staff is available to provide Physical Therapy, Monday-Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm.
